Puck dream

Oh dear, this tragic fellow.
Such fear and doubt he drags in tow.
Yet if I peek inside his chest
There is a sight I don't detest.
I wonder if you also see
Beyond the lies and trickery,
A beating heart with strength to guide,
To curse the darkness, 'Stand aside!'
What a darling day that light would be.

What is he who sees the truth?
Must I heed the words of this snide recluse?!

Now my interest you have peaked!
For I mark the words you did not speak.
But do not fear, oh timid one,
These thoughts are not your own.
If only you could see these beasts,
And how subtle they have grown.

Remembrance of Death

Off the narrow path I wander,
Deep into the wild;
Chasing fleeting, fading joys.
Forgetting the road and where it led.

Deceived.
    This folly sold as freedom.
Deluded.
    I sense no passing time.
Repent.
The source of life will set.
Regret.
    A shallow life thus spent.
